Suffolk
Many of the families for this One Name Study originated in Suffolk but migrated into other counties over the centures. My own ancestors came from Lavenham and migrated via Cambridgeshire and Essex into London. The following families are some of those who originated within Suffolk. These include the descendents of John Rushbrook of Rattlesden, whose Will was proven in 1496, which include the Robert Rushbrooke, who obtained Rushbrooke Hall as part of his marriage settlement, is descended.
The connections for these families have been pieced together from parish register entries and Wills, among others, but only a few sources are included to minimise the size of the databases. If you have any queries on how the familes are linked, please contact me via the guestbook or email address on the homepage.
As this site is still under development, further familes will be added in due course, along with a central name index for all Suffolk individuals bearing the surname Rushbrook and its numerous variants.
